Rowena Anderson
As a child in Ohio, Rowenna Anderson was surrounded by
a family of painters and craftsmen, which inspired her to develop deep devotion to the arts at an early age. To that end, Rowenna holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Ball University.
Influenced by the impressionists, yet dedicated to her own unique approach to form, Rowenna’s oils combine sensitivity and serene compositions with simply-stated themes. For many years, she resided on the Island of Nantucket, and now her scenes often depict Nantucket recurring as a favorite backdrop. Rowenna works with a limited palette and uses color to reflect light and atmosphere.
Rowenna’s art work can be found in many private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
