Harley Bartlett

Harley W. Bartlett’s easel paintings follow in the tradition of the late 19th and early 20th century American landscape, coastal and figurative painters. Growing up near and sailing on Long Island Sound and Narragansett Bay, maritime and coastal views are a natural subject for Bartlett.

Bartlett studied at the University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. As a professional artist, his representational style lends itself well to both mural and easel painting. He has exhibited his paintings widely throughout New England. Bartlett’s work is included in both private and corporate collections, and he has been featured in American Artist magazine.

Bartlett’s mural work may be found in many establishments throughout the United States. His painted clouds grace the ceilings of State Capital buildings in Rhode Island and Iowa as well as theatres in Ohio and Texas.
